About this file

This is Addendum Six to Invitation to Bid No. RFB-71-27, issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration for the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The project concerns the procurement of stalls and mats for new competition barns (BP-2) and represents a re-advertisement of RFB-264-25. The addendum, dated September 23, 2026, clarifies installer qualifications for modular equine stall systems and confirms that substantial completion is required within 175 calendar days from the date of the executed construction contract. The bid form requires the General Contractor to identify the party responsible for installing the modular stall systems in addition to the Equine Stall fabricator.

The key specification revision in this addendum removes the prior requirement that stall installers possess documented experience specifically in modular equine stall system installation. Instead, bidders' installers must demonstrate capability to install the modular equine stall systems in accordance with manufacturer requirements and standards and must coordinate with the manufacturer during installation to ensure proper performance. This change is intended to broaden the potential bidder pool while maintaining quality and performance standards for the project.
