About this file

This document is an Addendum containing Questions and Responses for the Idaho Springs Police Station Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) project in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The document addresses eight specific inquiries from potential bidders regarding project details, including hazardous materials testing, underground structures, floor modifications, claims/litigation history, bonding requirements, submission guidelines, and wage rates.

Key clarifications include confirmation that no hazardous materials testing has been performed, no known underground structures exist, and the floor slope will be evaluated during the Design Development phase. The project requires a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for the full contract price, with bonds remaining in effect for two years after Final Completion. Notably, prevailing wage rates do not apply to this project, and contractors are advised to include a minimum 5-year claims/litigation history. The bonding capacity requirement is $5,000,000, and the project is expected to commence construction in May 2025, involving renovation of a former citywide banks building into a new police station.
