About this file

This Addendum A document, issued by the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Procurement Division on May 11, 2026, provides clarifications and modifications to the sealed competitive procurement for the lease of one double-wide modular office trailer (RX3160008022) for District III Headquarters in Yazoo City, Mississippi. The trailer specifications include a 56-foot by 24-foot unit manufactured in 2021 or newer with four office rooms, one bathroom, two main entrances with ADA/IBC-compliant ramps, central HVAC systems, ceiling fans in all four offices, and vinyl-covered gypsum interior walls. The addendum confirms the trailer site location as 1240 East Broadway Street in Yazoo City, Mississippi, situated on asphalt with flat terrain. MDOT will be responsible for site preparation and utility connections. The original bid opening date was changed from Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. CST to Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. CST. The contract period runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with optional extensions of up to twenty-four additional months in twelve-month increments for a maximum contract duration of thirty-six months.

The addendum addresses thirteen questions submitted by prospective bidders regarding specifications and requirements, including clarification that smart panel siding is acceptable as an alternative to aluminum siding; the doublewide unit may be in "like new" condition rather than brand new; standard drip rail gutters are required over doors; standard modular setup procedures including above-grade block, level, and anchor are acceptable; vented skirting on all sides is required to prevent moisture accumulation in the southern climate; and vinyl-covered gypsum interior walls are acceptable in lieu of wood paneling. Regarding contract terms, MDOT indicates that winning bidders may submit alternative contract documents; however, if approved as an alternative to MDOT's Agency Contract, use of the attached Standard Contract Addendum is mandatory. All bids must include the completed Addendum A signature page and be submitted electronically through the MAGIC Procurement Portal or via paper submission by the new deadline of 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
