About this file
This is Addendum IV to Bid No. 26028 Water Storage Tank Maintenance issued by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County on April 6, 2026. The addendum modifies the original bid documents for water storage tank maintenance work dated February 2026. The project requires cleaning of water storage tanks in accordance with Section 33 13 00 Disinfection of Water Utility Distribution Facilities, with sediment removal from each tank. The specific amount of sediment present in each tank is unknown, and all available information regarding tank conditions is contained in Appendix A Water Storage Facility Condition Assessment Report. All prospective bidders must acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this addendum in Section 00300 Bid Form; proposals submitted without acknowledgment or without the addendum will be deemed nonresponsive.
The addendum removes several requirements from the original bid documents, including the deletion of Section 00425 Utility Contractor's License Certification and all related references to Georgia Utility Contractor License Number requirements from the Instruction to Bidders section. This modification eliminates a licensing certification requirement that was previously mandated. The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive technicalities or irregularities, and award the contract based on the highest and best interest of the jurisdiction. Prospective bidders should direct written inquiries to Rena Durie, Senior Buyer, at accbids@accgov.com.
