About this file
This is Addendum 3 to Invitation for Bid 26138-KR issued by the City of Suffolk, Virginia Parks and Recreation Department for annual grass cutting services. The addendum, dated June 12, 2026, modifies the original solicitation by adding two locations (Homeless Shelter at 2361 Pruden Blvd requiring 42 cuts per year with bed maintenance, and Old Driver Elementary School Site at 4270 Driver Ln. requiring 10 cuts annually from March through December), removing two locations (Constant's North Park and Market Park at Train Station), and separating vacant lots into distinct line items for individual pricing. The bid includes 26 total service locations with quantities ranging from 9 to 45 cuts per year. Bidders must submit responses by June 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. local time, and the mandatory pre-bid conference was scheduled for June 10, 2026. The question cutoff date is June 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendums 1, 2, and 3 on the bid form and must submit bids using the updated bid sheet provided with this addendum or risk being deemed non-responsive.
The contract requires contractors to provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, transportation, materials, permits, fees, and insurance necessary to perform the services. Bidders must submit unit pricing per cut for each location and calculate total annual pricing by multiplying cuts per year by unit price. The solicitation allows for one or more contractors to be awarded. Bidders must list all equipment to be used, specify the number of employees available, and provide years of experience. Optional pricing for snow removal services is requested for information purposes only. Contract Officer Kimberly Rogerson of the City of Suffolk Purchasing Division oversees this solicitation and can be reached at (757) 514-4145 or krogerson@suffolkva.us for questions.
