About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the City of Suffolk, Virginia for grass cutting services for the Parks and Recreation Department. The addendum updates the bid sheet to reflect the correct due date and clarifies that all specifications remain unchanged from the original IFB 26138-KR. Bids are due June 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., with a mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for June 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Joint Operations Center, 866 Carolina Road, Suffolk, Virginia. The scope of work encompasses annual grass cutting services on an as-needed basis across 23 park and recreation locations throughout Suffolk, with annual cut frequencies ranging from 11 to 52 cuts per location. The successful bidder or bidders must provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, transportation, materials, permits, fees, and insurance required to perform the services in accordance with all specifications, terms, and conditions of the IFB.

The bid form requires contractors to submit unit prices per cut for each of the 23 locations, with total annual prices calculated by multiplying the unit price by the estimated number of annual cuts for each location. The quantities listed on the bid sheet are estimates for bid purposes only. Offerors are responsible for ensuring they have read and met all specifications outlined in the addendum, and must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 on the bid form. The contract officer is Kimberly Rogerson, VCA Buyer, who can be contacted at (757) 514-4145 or krogerson@suffolkva.us for questions regarding the amendment. The IFB allows for the award of one or more contractors to fulfill the grass cutting services requirement.
