About this file
Addendum 2 for Invitation for Bids, issued by the Melbourne Airport Authority, pertains to the Public and Employee Parking Modifications project at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MAA 51224). The addendum, dated January 24, 2025, maintains the original proposal submission date of Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. The document addresses several contractor inquiries, specifically clarifying technical specifications about road base materials, stormwater repairs, and project scope. Key responses include confirming that crushed limerock is the required base material with no substitutions allowed, and specifying that the stormwater repair will be paid under Index 15, Pay Item 430-3 as a lump sum.
The addendum provides critical clarifications for potential bidders, including noting that parking control equipment is not part of this project and referencing additional insurance documentation in Special MLB Sections, 00 61 10, Exhibit 'A'. While no specific pricing details are provided in this document, the addendum serves to ensure bidders have precise technical understanding of project requirements. The document emphasizes the need for exact compliance with specified materials and construction methods, particularly regarding pavement base composition and stormwater infrastructure details.
