About this file
This is an Addendum to a Colorado state and local contract opportunity (Notice Number: 2026000138, Project Number: INS130) for replacing hail-damaged roofs at the McCandless VCLC AFB facility. The project requires bidders to provide roofing replacement services using Like Kind and Quality (LKQ) materials that match the pre-existing roof specifications. The bid submission deadline is March 11th at 1:00 PM. The awarded contractor must provide a two-year workmanship warranty in addition to the manufacturer's system warranty on all roofing materials and labor.
Regarding pricing and materials, the contract specifies that insurance will cover the cost of LKQ roof replacement based on what was pre-existing on the building prior to hail damage. Bidders may submit an alternate quote for Class 4 hail-resistant shingles as an upgrade option; however, any costs exceeding the LKQ repair price would be the responsibility of the requesting office and would not be covered by insurance. Contractors should obtain separate quotes for both the standard LKQ repair shingles and the upgraded Class 4 shingle option to clearly delineate the additional out-of-pocket costs associated with the upgrade if selected. An Eagle View report for the Virginia facility has been made available to all bidders as an attachment to this addendum.

Addendum 2 Notice Number: 2026000138 Project Number: INS130 Project Title: Replace Hail Damaged Roofs McCandless VCLC
1. Please confirm regarding the warranty, you require a 2 year warranty from the awarded contractor not a certified manufacturers warranty. Correct. The project requires a 2-year workmanship warranty through the awarded contractor, in addition to the required manufacturer's system warranty.
2.
3. If there is an Eagle View for the VA facility can it be published for all? Attachment included
4. Will the bid date found on page 6 be changed to match the date on page 5? March 11th at 1:00pm, correction made in Addendum 1.
5. Would we be able to upgrade to Class 4 Hail resistant Shingles? We would not be able to agree to the upgrade to the Class 4 hail resistant shingles. Insurance owes for Like Kind and Quality (LKQ) as to what was pre-existing, and the building did not have this high of a quality of pre-existing shingle. If you wanted to opt for the upgraded Class 4 shingle, that extra cost would be out of pocket for your office. We would ask that you obtain a quote for the LKQ repair shingle and then an add alternate quote for the upgraded Class 4 shingle. We would figure payment for the original LKQ shingle, then you would know what the extra out of pocket cost would be for the add alternate type if you choose to go with that.
