PROPOSAL DUE DATE:

ADDENDUM ITEMS: (attach additional sheets and drawings if required)
General:
Answers to questions from potential proposers are in red below:
1) The City of Marquette has a Storm Water Utility which requires you to pay a fee to discharge storm water into their system. Given the amount of impervious surface that will be added, there will be an increase in storm water discharge from the site unless a special onsite retention system is added. Assuming you want to discharge to the City’s system, are you (as a State Entity) exempt from the City’s review/requirements, or should we anticipate submitting the plans and storm water calculations to them for review and approval? If water leaves the DMVA property (which is state owned) we do include the city and build to what details and requirements, they have. That would apply for stormwater, curb cuts etc. We do not include them on a building plan review or do we pull local permits since LARA has permit jurisdiction for construction/renovation projects on state property.
2) The topographic survey allowance states “for the Military motor pool, POV lot, Force Protection, and Fuel Truck parking pad.” Is there already survey in the two proposed addition areas, or should those be collected too? The Topographic survey allowance is intended to encompass all locations that will require modification. If the listed allowance is lower than the PSC feels is required, please include the amount you believe will be required and state the reason for the increase in the allowance amount in your proposal.
3) Are there any previous soil borings at the site available? The borings on the original plans will be provided to the selected PSC for review, new borings at all the additions should be planned to be taken utilizing the allowance. If the listed allowance is lower than the PSC feels is required, please include the amount you believe will be required and state the reason for the increase in the allowance amount in your proposal.
4) Additional supply and vault spaces – Please provide
a. Size and specification of vault? Vaults are 600 sq ft, 8” poured concrete with #4 bar 9” o.c., two layers offset 4.5 inches. This spec is from AR 190-11 and will be furnished to the chosen firm or can be downloaded if desired.
b. The design requirement for the remaining space where a vault to be built? 8” block
5) Modifications to men’s and women’s latrines – Please provide
a. If the government want to upgrade the toilet rooms to meet the current code requirement, the occupant load information is needed for the fixture numbers. Toilet rooms meet ADA, showers do not. Use layout in design guide, should be over requirement.
b. Are the size of the existing restrooms to remain as they are? No, review 10% concept plan.
