About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to the bid documents for a Window Replacement project at the Seigel Health Technologies Building (Building C), 777 Elsbree Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, issued by Bristol Community College on September 16, 2026. The addendum addresses architectural and structural clarifications regarding acceptable window and storefront manufacturers, as well as masonry work specifications. Bidders are required to acknowledge this addendum on their bid forms and incorporate all modifications into their proposals. The addendum clarifies that comparable products meeting or exceeding the basis of design requirements may be accepted pending contractor documentation and approval, and specifies that removal of damaged brick and concrete masonry units is included within the masonry scope of work as outlined in Section 01 22 00 unit prices.

The addendum modifies product specifications in two key sections: Section 08 41 13 (Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefronts) and Section 08 51 13 (Aluminum Windows). For entrances and storefronts, the basis of design product Kawneer Trifab VG 451 UT is maintained, with comparable options updated to include EFCO Series 403 T and Tubelite T14000 Series, replacing the discontinued Wausau Window and Wall Systems 14000 Series. For aluminum windows, the basis of design Kawneer North America AA4325 remains unchanged, with updated comparable options of EFCO Corporation XTherm Series 325X and Apogee Architectural Metals 3250i Invent, replacing the Wausau Window and Wall Systems 3240i Invent. The contract documents are dated September 1, 2026, and bidding information is available through www.biddocs.com, with submissions required online at that platform.
