About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a project solicitation issued by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission under the Department of Natural Resources for the Delaney Buttes State Wildlife Area Wolfer Mallon Ditch Bypass project. The addendum documents responses to questions raised by potential bidders during the July 6, 2016 on-site pre-bid meeting. The project is identified by Fund No. 761, Appropriation Code PC002INFP, and Project I.D. No. P15NC. Key clarifications provided in this addendum address site access, soil testing requirements, and surveying obligations for the construction project.
The addendum confirms that contractors may reduce ditch bank height to gain equipment access to the project site, provided that all disturbed areas are compacted, returned to original configuration, and reseeded and mulched according to project specifications, with associated costs included in the Mobilization bid item at no separate measurement. Soil compaction testing is conditional, required only if the Project Manager rejects the contractor's compaction methods and effort. A Colorado Registered Professional Land Surveyor is not required for project layout and construction; however, contractors are responsible for replacing any established control points destroyed or moved during work execution using a Professional Land Surveyor at the contractor's expense.

ADDENDUM NO. 1
Delaney Buttes SWA – Wolfer Mallon Ditch Bypass
July 11, 2016
FUND NO. 761
APPR. CODE PC002INFP
PROJECT I.D. NO. P15NC
These are responses to questions asked by potential project bidders during the July 6, 2016 on-site pre-bid meeting.
Question: To gain access to the project site equipment will need to cross the ditch to the immediate west of the site. Will it be allowed to reduce the height of the ditch bank to allow equipment to cross?
Answer: Yes. However, the disturbed ditch bank will be required to be compacted and returned to original configuration and reseeded and mulched per project specifications. Cost for this work shall not be measured and shall be included in the Mobilization bid item on the Bid Schedule.
Question: Will soil testing be required for the structure?
Answer: Testing will not be required if the Project Manager accepts contractor’s compaction methods and effort. If Project Manager does not accept compaction effort, compaction testing will be required per project specifications.
Question: Is a Colorado Registered Professional Land Surveyor required for the project?
Answer: Not for project layout and construction. However, should CPW’s established project control points be destroyed or moved by the contractor during execution of the work, the contractor shall be responsible for replacing the control, using a Professional Land Surveyor, at contractor’s expense.
