About this file
This is an Addendum No. 1 to the bid documents for the Sullivan Circle Drainage Project issued by the Town of Pine Mountain, Georgia, dated October 9, 2025. The project involves comprehensive drainage infrastructure improvements including clearing and grubbing, asphalt and concrete removal and replacement, installation of storm pipes in multiple sizes (15", 18", and 24" RCP), drop inlets, flared end sections, headwalls, and permanent grassing and site restoration. The bid includes 15 line items with estimated quantities ranging from 1 lump sum item to 282 linear feet of 15" RCP storm pipe. The deadline for written questions is 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, submitted to Natalie Pifer at 861np@ppi.us, with the bid opening scheduled for 10:30 AM on October 28, 2025. The contract requires completion within 150 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Twenty-three contractors appear on the plan holder list and are eligible to submit bids.
Key clarifications in the addendum address critical project specifications and contractor responsibilities. The contractor must coordinate and bear the cost of power pole relocation (Bid Item 15), replace driveway entrances with matching deco pea gravel material rather than standard concrete, coordinate with landowners regarding clearing and grubbing activities with town support, include landscape replacement costs in the grassing bid item, use RCP pipe exclusively rather than HDPE due to pipe cover constraints, and price concrete flared end sections. Bid security is set at 5 percent of the total bid amount, with bids remaining valid for 60 calendar days after the closing time. Upon bid acceptance, the contractor must execute the formal contract and deliver required surety bonds within 10 days.
