About this file
This is an Addendum No. 1 to RFP No. TI-23-193 issued by the City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management on May 11, 2023, concerning a Mobile Computer Installation project. The addendum clarifies two key issues raised by proposers: the responsibility for providing vehicle decals and the applicability of prevailing wage requirements. The City of Long Beach will provide all decals for the project. Proposers must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and submitting it with their proposals, and failure to do so may result in disqualification.
The addendum clarifies that labor compliance requirements, including prevailing wage and certified payroll obligations, do not apply to this solicitation due to the rolling stock exemption. This clarification resolves a discrepancy between the original RFP language, which stated prevailing wages were required, and statements made during the project job walk indicating they would not be required. The City emphasizes that all official communications regarding the solicitation must be confirmed in writing by the City Contact, and proposers should not rely on oral communications or information conveyed through unofficial channels.
