About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to RFP No. PR-25-626 issued by the City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management for Transportation Services. The addendum modifies the original RFP and must be acknowledged and submitted with proposals; failure to do so may result in disqualification. Service frequency is estimated at 4-5 times per week during summer season and 1-2 times per month during non-summer periods. The City intends to award a single vendor but may award multiple vendors if necessary to ensure full-service coverage. Trips may occur on both weekdays and weekends. Vendors are not contractually obligated to service all trip requests if prior commitments exist, but acceptance is preferred whenever possible. Vendors may decline trips without penalty if one week's advance notice is provided. The City will provide 5-7 days' notice prior to trip cancellations to avoid payment obligations to vendors.

Regarding pricing, no template will be provided by the City, and vendors should develop their own pricing format. Historical pricing information cannot be provided through the RFP process but may be requested separately via email to LBPurchasing@longbeach.gov. For insurance requirements, the City originally requested a combined single limit (CSL) of $10,000,000 for any vehicle with 16 passengers or more but will accept reduced limits of $5,000,000. Vendors may submit additional pages beyond the Narrative Proposal Template; however, such submissions are subject to the City's review and discretion. All official communications must be conducted through the specified process, and the City will not be bound by oral communications or information conveyed outside official channels unless confirmed in writing by the City Contact.
