About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation for Bid (IFB2025-002) issued by the City of Kissimmee, Florida for Mowing and Landscape Services. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to 17 specific questions from potential bidders about the landscape maintenance contract. The project involves mowing and maintaining approximately 200 acres of city properties, rights of way, and easements, with an expected start date of July 1, 2025. The contract has an annual budget of $620,000, and while no minimum team size is mandated, three to four workers are recommended during summer months. The contract will be awarded as soon as possible, with the expectation of a July 1, 2025 start date, and the City reserves the right to make multiple awards.
Key details include insurance requirements where the contractor must provide workers' compensation, comprehensive general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella insurance with specific coverage limits. The contractor is responsible for maintaining ornamental plants, removing dead or declining plants, and replacing them with prior city authorization. Trees and palms are not included in this bid, and playgrounds will not require mulching. Price increases for contract extensions will be considered but must be pre-approved. The light green areas on provided GIS maps are to be mowed, while dark green areas are excluded. The current contract is being re-bid because the existing contract will expire, and the City seeks a contractor capable of completing mowing cycles as required by the schedule.
