About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 for Invitation for Bid (IFB2025-002) issued by the City of Kissimmee, Florida for Mowing and Landscape Services. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to 22 specific questions from potential bidders regarding the landscape maintenance contract covering approximately 200 acres of city properties, rights of ways, and easements. Key clarifications include requirements for a $10,000 performance bond, service time restrictions (parks to be completed by 5pm on weekdays, no weekend park work), and weed control methods. The city seeks a single contractor but reserves the right to make multiple awards, with service frequencies ranging from a maximum of 39 to a minimum of 26 cycles annually.

The addendum addresses critical operational details such as background check procedures, leaf removal protocols, and maintenance expectations. Contractors are required to submit a Schedule of Offers and are recommended to complete the provided Excel workbook, though alternative pricing formats may be accepted. The current landscape maintenance provider is Ground Tek, and the city emphasizes flexibility in herbicide use, provided contractors have appropriate licenses. Notable requirements include mulching leaves in turf areas, removing hedge clippings, and maintaining comprehensive employee information. The city will determine specific cycle dates for non-turf areas during a post-award meeting, indicating a collaborative approach to finalizing service implementation details.
