About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation for Bid (IFB2025-002) issued by the City of Kissimmee, Florida for Mowing and Landscape Services. The addendum addresses 17 questions from potential bidders, clarifying key aspects of the contract such as scope, requirements, and expectations. The project involves landscape maintenance services for city properties, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025, and a budget of $620,000 per year. The contract will not include tree and palm maintenance, and playgrounds will not require mulching. Contractors are expected to maintain ornamental plants, remove dead or declining plants, and replace them with prior city authorization.

The addendum specifies detailed insurance requirements, including workers' compensation, comprehensive general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella insurance with specific coverage limits. No specialty licenses are required, and during summer months, a team of three to four workers is recommended. The light green areas on provided GIS maps are to be mowed, while dark green areas are excluded. Areas marked in pink on attachment C-1 are included in the contract, whereas those on C-2 are not. The City emphasizes that mower blades should be cleaned before moving to the next mowing area, and the current contract is being re-bid because the existing contract will expire.
