About this file

This is an addendum to a request for proposal issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), Southeast Regional Office, for the construction of an equipment storage building at Flagler State Wildlife Area (SWA), project number PMAA-5614 (S26WSE-8326). The addendum clarifies that CPW will not provide additional structural drawings beyond those in the original bid documents. While a pre-approved building manufacturer is identified in the bid documents, contractors may propose "approved equal" alternatives; however, those selecting alternate buildings must submit sufficient information prior to bidding to obtain initial concurrence from the Project Manager, with the understanding that CPW may decline to entertain alternatives. The contractor is responsible for providing engineered building drawings, foundation reactions, anchor-bolt plans, and any required revisions to the foundation design necessary for construction. Final questions are due by August 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., and completed bid schedules must be emailed to Shaun C. Gordon, the Design & Construction Project Manager, by 1:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026.

No pricing, set-aside information, funding sources, or contract term details are specified in this addendum. The document serves solely as a clarification to the original proposal requirements regarding design responsibility and the submission process for alternative building options.

ADDENDUM ONE

July 29, 2026

Subject: Addendum Number One to: DQ1: 2027*22

PMAA-5614-Flagler SWA – Equipment Storage Building, S26WSE-8326

To Whom It May Concern:

The following items clarify or revise the language of the subject request for proposal and should be considered by all Proposer’s when submitting their proposal. Make sure to note receipt of this addendum on page 1 of the Bid Schedule. Announcements and answers to questions are in Bold type:

1. Could you please clarify whether additional structural drawings will be issued for bidding? If not, please confirm whether the selected building manufacturer and contractor are responsible for providing the engineered building drawings, foundation reactions, anchor-bolt plan, and any required revisions to the foundation design.?

No additional drawings will be supplied by CPW. While a pre-approved Manufacturer is identified in the bid documents identifying design intent and minimum standards, the design has been left open to what would be considered as “approved equal”. If a Contractor is planning on using an alternate building, they should submit enough information prior to bidding to obtain initial concurrence from the Project Manager. Otherwise, the Contractor will be taking their own chance if an alternate would be entertained or not.

The Contractor will be responsible for providing the engineered building drawings, foundation reactions, anchor-bolt plan, and any required revisions to the foundation design necessary for the construction of the building.

End of Addendum #1
