About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) for professional design services related to various improvement projects at the Pinckney and Waterloo Recreation Areas. The addendum revises the proposal due date to September 22, 2022, and provides additional details on the scope of work, which includes roof and bathroom renovations at the Eddy Discovery Center, improvements to the Lake Winnewana Dam, pavement repairs, and playground surfacing upgrades at both recreation areas. The total ARPA funding available is $2,705,000 for Waterloo Recreation Area and $4,400,000 for Pinckney Recreation Area. The RFP also requires the selected professional services contractor to procure and oversee an interpretive display designer/manufacturer, with the contract for that work to be included in the selected contractor's scope.

The addendum provides further details on the specific improvements required at each location, including upgrades to the Silver Lake Concessions Building, the Bruin Lake Campground garage/workshop and toilet/shower building, and pavement repair/replacement throughout the Pinckney Recreation Area. Proposers are instructed not to include costs for the interpretive display design, fabrication, and installation, but to indicate their proposed markup for managing that work. A pre-proposal meeting attendance record is also included, listing the firms that attended the pre-proposal meeting on August 29, 2022.
