About this file
This document is an Addendum to the Request for Proposals (RFP) #22-187-G for Ductile Iron Fittings issued by the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) in Oregon. The addendum provides changes to the original ITB document, including clarification on delivery terms, replacement of terminology, and responses to questions from potential bidders. The key changes include striking the subsection number for delivery terms, replacing "Key Items" with "Long Lead Items", and providing responses to questions regarding lead times, storage requirements, and proposal formatting. The original RFP is for the supply of ductile iron fittings on an as-needed basis for water distribution, primarily within the jurisdictions of Lane County and the City of Eugene, Oregon. The closing date for the RFP remains unchanged at November 29, 2022.
The pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, and other salient information are not explicitly provided in this addendum. The addendum focuses on clarifying and modifying the technical specifications and scope of work outlined in the original RFP document.

ADDENDUM # 1
Title: Ductile Iron Fittings
RFP # 22-187-G
This addendum adds additional information to the original ITB document.
CHANGES TO ITB DOCUMENT:
Section 2 – SCOPE OF WORK / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Sub-Section 2.5 - Delivery Strike number “2.5”. Delivery shall be part of Section 2.5 Shipping Terms.
Sub-Section 2.6 – Long Lead Item Maintenance Replace the term “Key Items” with “Long Lead Items”, as both terms refer to the same thing.
QUESTION & ANSWER
Q1. Is the 3 to 6 months of usage maintained at the manufacturers facility expected for all items on the bid list, or will this vary based on "long lead items" and "key items"? How will this apply/calculate for parts with a low 5-year EAU (i.e. 1 piece estimated over 5 years)?
A1. The Long Lead Items will initially be identified by the Contractor since the Contractor will be aware of delivery lead times. These are items that have a significantly longer lead time than the average lead time for the rest of the items. EWEB will review these items with Contractor to determine which of these items will be formally considered as "Long Lead Items" and will further determine together how many units to store. EWEB is primarily interested in storing parts that could hold up a project if shipped late. There is no interest on EWEB's part in storing an unwieldly number of parts.
Q2. The Minimum Qualifications calls for submission in a separate document. Should the Minimum
Qualifications be part of the body of the proposal as well, or just be provided as a separate file?
A2. It would be easiest for the team to read if all required sections are in the same order as the RFP, but the most important thing is that all sections are included in the proposal package and clearly identified.
Q3. The manufacturer’s list price sheets are large files, in excess of 40 pages in some cases. Rather than include them in the body of the proposal, can the list price sheets from the manufacturers be provided in separate electronic files with the titles and revisions noted in the body of the proposal?
A3. Yes, that would work well.
CLOSING DATE AND TIME
November 29, 2022 Remains unchanged.
This addendum constitutes a MATERIAL CHANGE to the Request for Proposals.
