About this file
This is an addendum to bid documents issued by the City of Oxford for the Howell Loop Lift Station Project No. ENG4Q26-SS1. The addendum, issued October 22, 2026, provides clarifications and modifications to the original bid documents regarding the wet well coating specifications, power service coordination, site conditions, and existing infrastructure. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning it to nichols@oxfordms.net, and failure to include the signed addendum with the bid submittal may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.
The addendum specifies that the wet well coating shall be a hydrophilic crystalline waterproofing admixture and that any power service modifications must be coordinated with Northeast MS Power, with approximately 50 feet of conduit anticipated for potential modifications. The document notes that no soil boring data exists for the site and that if groundwater issues arise, they will be addressed through change order with dewatering excluded from the base bid. The existing force main placed by the City begins at the west side of the proposed entrance drive. Contractors with questions should contact Norman Nichols, PE, Assistant City Engineer, at 662-232-2306 or nichols@oxford.net.
