About this file
This Addendum No. 1, issued April 17, 2018, modifies the original contract documents for the City of DeBary's Bill Keller Park Infield Renovation Project for Fields 1 and 3 (Bid #05-18). The project involves complete renovation of two youth baseball infields currently used by Babe Ruth for the 46/60 and 50/70 divisions. Scope of work includes stripping infields to base grade, re-working irrigation zones, performing laser grading for clay and turf areas, incorporating new clay with conditioner, constructing a new pitcher's mound with associated equipment, and installing new sod with final rolling of clay and turf areas. Equipment mobilization is scheduled for July 2, 2018, with project completion required by August 23, 2018, prior to the start of fall ball season. Bidders were required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum and submit bids by 2:00 P.M. on April 24, 2018, using the same sealed bid process as the original documents.
The projected project cost is $121,000. This addendum removes three bonding requirements that were specified in the original contract documents: Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond requirements are eliminated. All prospective bidders are responsible for independently verifying site conditions, including surface and subsurface characteristics, with guidance provided in Article 3, Section 2 under General Conditions regarding Unforeseen Physical Conditions. Bidders must quantify and factor all necessary materials in their proposals to achieve the finished product as outlined in the project specifications, as the quantities identified on the bid form may not account for all required materials.
