About this file

Addendum 02 for RFP 2026-01 is issued by Henderson County Public Schools' Board of Public Education for a District Phone System Upgrade in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The addendum provides clarifications and updates to the original RFP, specifically addressing phone system requirements, including a preference for T44w Yealink or equivalent 1Gb 8-line IP phones with WiFi capability, and the need to port 33 existing fax lines to eFax services while maintaining HIPAA compliance. The document includes vendor questions and answers regarding elevator lines, classroom phones, phone purchasing models, headsets, phone terminology, and fax line usage.

The addendum indicates flexibility in phone acquisition, requesting vendors to include both outright purchase and Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) options. No headsets will be included in the quote, and all 33 fax lines should be ported to existing physical fax machines. Vendors are instructed to complete this addendum and attach it to their proposal submission, with the understanding that the addendum becomes part of the original bid package. The RFP seeks a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure upgrade from traditional landline systems to a modern, cloud-based solution that meets the district's operational requirements while potentially supporting small, minority, disabled, and woman-owned businesses.

Since eFax typically refers to digital faxing, could you please confirm how many of the 33 lines are intended for use with physical fax machines versus eFax?
