About this file

This Addendum #2, issued June 26, 2026, modifies the Request for Bids (RFB) 2026-24 for the Public Safety Building Corridor Renovation project located at 138 North Court Street, Building 7, Wampsville, New York, under Madison County's jurisdiction. The addendum provides clarifications and revisions to contract documents, specifically addressing interpretations of demolition requirements at Door 301 and replacing two contract drawings (A-002 Phasing Plan and A-701 Finish Schedule and Floor Finish Plan). The project scope encompasses a phased corridor renovation involving demolition and new construction work across multiple areas, including installation of CMU, door frames, glazing, access control wiring, new masonry openings, and resinous flooring installations. The phasing plan is designed to maintain foot traffic access during construction, with flooring installation split into two phases to allow cure time. The project is scheduled to run from August 14, 2026 through December 31, 2026, and bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their proposal submissions or face potential disqualification.

The addendum clarifies that existing bent steel plate capping the 90-degree angle between door frame and window frame at Door 301 (approximately 7 feet 4 inches tall) must be removed and replaced with a new steel plate to cap the end of the existing window to remain. All bid adjustments must include the cost of materials and labor for the work specified herein and any subsequent adjustments to accommodate the stated work. Contractors are responsible for understanding the full context of all changes, interpretations, and clarifications to both drawings and specifications when preparing bids. The addendum consists of two pages with two attachments and is part of the contract documents in accordance with AIA A201 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. No incumbent has been identified for this procurement, and no business enterprises have been awarded identical or substantially similar contracts within the past five years.

REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION

Q1: According to page AD-101 keynote 2 specifies that we must remove and dispose of a bent steel plate. The plans indicate we would remove the sidelight and the fixed slanted pane above door 301. Can you please provide information on whether there is a steel bent plate to remove and if the other items are also being demolished?

A. The sidelight, fixed pane, and frame at existing door 301 is to be removed to provide a full-width corridor opening. An existing bent steel plate caps the

90° angle between the north side of the door frame and the east side of the

178.033.001 existing metal framed window, approximately 7’-4” tall, where noted by Note

2 on AD-101. This steel plate is to be removed, and a new one installed in its place to cap the end of the existing window to remain, where noted by Note 2 on A-101.
