About this file

This Request for Information from the U.S. Army seeks industry input on an acquisition strategy for multiple gunnery training systems programs over fiscal years 2020 to 2027. Programs may include Abrams Advanced Gunnery Training Systems, Bradley Conduct of Fire Trainer, Mobile Protected Firepower training, Next Generation Combat Vehicle training, Stryker training systems, and Marine Corps light armored vehicle training.

The Army is considering an approach for hardware and software reuse, common architectures and standards, reduced development and sustainment costs, streamlined acquisitions and shortened development timelines. Contract types and vehicles under consideration include ID/IQs, stand-alone C contracts, firm-fixed-price and cost-plus. Small business participation is of interest.

Industry is asked to provide recommendations on contracting approaches, program risks, cost drivers and other relevant information by January 15th. Responses should identify business size and be no more than ten pages, describing innovative strategies to meet training requirements across programs through broad contracting.
