About this file
This Request for Information from the U.S. Army seeks innovative contracting approaches from industry partners for a broad scope contract strategy across gunnery training programs from FY20 through FY27. The RFI involves technical refreshes and upgrades of currently fielded systems with hardware and software, as well as innovative solutions for new training devices. Programs may include Abrams AGTS, Bradley COFT, MPF, NGCV, Stryker, USMC LAV and M1A1 training systems.
The Army anticipates providing one fully functional system per existing device type for tech refresh in-plant, and refreshing other existing systems on site. Responses are requested with suggestions for contract type such as ID/IQ or stand-alone C contracts, strategy such as FFP, cost plus, and opinions on advantages or limitations. Information is also sought on potential risks, cost drivers and relevance to acquisition strategy or technical approaches. Responses are due within 15 days in Microsoft Word meeting defined page limits and formatting requirements. Submittals become government property and will not be returned.

This WD 0007-4 update brings PIDS Draft Rev – generated at the end of Phase One design period up to the Production Stryker MGS program start baseline. General “housekeeping changes” were made such as providing missing non-government reference documents. This revision updates some TBDs in the PIDS based on the LRIP data collection and IDAGTS design. A current TBD list will be provided to PEOSTI, separately. The Unity periscope FOVs were updated from the LRIP data collection. Additional IDAGTS common requirements were added for Wall Breaching & Bunker Busting and Canister functionality. Room Clearing requirements were added as part of the W.D. item functionality.
Also, IDAGTS common clarifications and corrections identified during the IDAGTS design and GAT were incorporated in this update (such as ammo loads, target ranges, and deleting the CPV MAST control).
06/06/08 B Various Define Stryker MGS AGTS Production requirements. Incorporate Customer comments on Rev. A (Mar ’07) and draft Rev. B (Dec ’08).
Updates from data collection trip (Apr ’07), reticle updates (Jan ’08), SME review & models updates (Feb ’08), and TBD resolution (Mar ’08). Add changes from the Stryker Exercise Working Group Two Minutes: Correct CM2 model name to TSCV in Table 3.7.2.7.1-1;
Ammo load by database added to 3.7.3.3.9; in sections 3.7.3.2.3.1.6 & 3.7.3.3.8 reflect proper coax allocation per vehicle; and update Basic Platoon Exercise situation per scenario to 10 in
3.7.3.3.2.1.7. Rev. B sets the Stryker MGS
Production AGTS baseline.
06/05/09 C Various This revision incorporates Customer comments on Rev. B (Aug ’08); updates from functional & requirement certification reviews; crew exercise and section/platoon exercise reviews; system integration, dryrun, and GAT PPRs; and general spec maintenance updates. This revision also incorporates SCSL version 2.3 updates and ammo transfer changes.
