About this file
This document is a technical schematic diagram illustrating hydraulic piping layouts for testing equipment at two separate Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) facilities.
The primary configuration (NSWCCD Building 60, Room 172) depicts a hydraulic system connecting an MTS 505.60 Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) in the pump room to multiple MTS test frames via non-welded piping. The system includes three MTS 318-series frames (100kip and 55kip capacities), two MTS 370.10 22kip frames, and additional 22kip frames distributed throughout the facility. Hydraulic non-welded piping with separate pressure, return, and drain lines extends approximately 50 feet horizontally through a trench containing existing piping, with vertical runs of 10-30 feet to individual test frames. The contract scope includes installation of individual ball valves and hydraulic tees with caps for each pressure, return, and drain line. All piping lengths are estimated. The optional secondary configuration (NSWCCD Building 19, Room B-Bay) shows a simplified layout with six MTS 370.10 22kip frames connected to an HPU via a maximum 30-foot horizontal run with maximum 2-foot branch lines to each frame, utilizing existing concrete wall penetrations for piping routing.
