Bidders must hold current Florida State Certified General Contractor licenses, demonstrate five years of continuous operation under the same legal entity, and provide documented evidence of waterproofing, window glazing, and roofing experience on three comparable projects completed within the past three years. All subcontractors must be licensed within their respective trades and pre-approved by the School Board. Bidders must submit certifications including a Human Trafficking Affidavit, drug-free workplace certification, AD-1048 debarment form, and proof of E-Verify enrollment. Contractors must obtain comprehensive insurance coverage within ten working days of award, including General Liability Insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence/$5,000,000 general aggregate, Automotive Liability Insurance with $300,000 Combined Single Limit, and Workers' Compensation Insurance at statutory limits. All personnel with direct school access must complete Level 2 background screening. Liquidated damages are assessed at $500 per day for failure to meet the completion deadline, and bidders must accept purchasing card payments and warrant all work to be free from defects for one year following final project completion.
