About this file
This is a Simplified Acquisition Brand-Name Justification document for the Indian Health Service (IHS) seeking Cisco SmartNet maintenance coverage for existing equipment from 01/01/2026 to 12/31/2026. The document justifies a brand-name procurement for Cisco SmartNet maintenance that provides warranty, hardware, and technical support for the Portland Area voice system and related devices, routers, and switches. Recommended sources include World Wide Technology, Inc. and Colossal Contracting, with the justification emphasizing that Cisco is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and that without this coverage, equipment failures could create network and voice service outages that would adversely affect staff operations and patient care. The document requires contractors to be Cisco Authorized Channel partners and to certify compliance with Cisco's product and licensing requirements.
