About this file

This document is a technical specification for a water treatment system installation at the White Sandy Campground in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The project involves furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to install water treatment equipment in the campground's pump room and connect it to the existing potable water system.

The specification details comprehensive requirements for water treatment components, including water softening and ion exchange systems for removing hardness, iron, and sulfates. Key equipment includes filter housings, pre-filter cartridges, pressure tanks, pressure transducers, and valves. The installation must comply with NSF 61 standards for drinking water system components, and all electrical work must be performed by licensed electricians. The project emphasizes proper installation, grounding, supporting, and testing of electrical and plumbing systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of the water treatment infrastructure.
