About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a water filtration project for the White Sandy Campground in Helena, Montana, owned by the Bureau of Land Management. The project involves installing water filtration equipment in the campground's pump room to address water quality issues, specifically targeting iron (Fe), total dissolved solids (TDS), sulfate (SO4), and water hardness. The existing infrastructure includes a well with a Franklin Electric SubDrive 300 pump and an approximate flow rate of 15 gallons per minute.
The SOW outlines comprehensive requirements for the successful vendor, including providing product specifications, shop drawings, and performing all necessary labor and installation. Key technical specifications include using PVC or galvanized steel piping, ensuring NSF 61 Certified materials, and conducting proper electrical work according to Montana state codes. The payment structure is based on lump sum payments for various components such as electrical additions, ion exchange systems for iron and sulfate removal, water softening, pressure tanks, and pump room modifications. The project will require submitting initial product specifications for review, installing equipment per manufacturer guidelines, and performing leak testing and disinfection in accordance with DEQ Circular 3 and local codes.
