About this file

This document is an Amendment (0002) containing questions and answers for a water filtration project at White Sandy Campground. The amendment addresses electrical specifications for water treatment systems, including water softener, iron removal, and sulfate removal systems. Key clarifications include:

The power plan requires new 20-amp circuits for water treatment systems, with specific details about existing and new electrical lines. The SJE-Rhombus water treatment controller will replace the existing Franklin Subdrive controller, and unused circuits in panel P-1 are available for project use. Additional specifications include requirements for dedicated plugs for each water treatment system and a red strobe light internal to the controller to indicate pressure loss. The amendment also clarifies a specification section about media replacement, removing a specific reference to arsenic media monitoring while maintaining the general principle of tracking water usage for media replacement.

Amendment 0002

Questions received and Answered

1. Power plan shows dark lines new 20 amp circuit to Iron and Sulfate removal but the water soften is a lighter line insinuating it is existing. Is this the case.

a. Line to Water Softener is not existing.

2. Is the only new power needs on E-1 drawn in the dark lines and the lighter lines are assumed existing?

a. The existing lines are the well pump lines to the constant pressure controller and the pressure transducer. Lines to the water softener, iron removal system, sulfate removal system are not existing. The existing Franklin Subdrive well controller will be replaced by the spec’d SJE-Rhombus water treatment controller. The existing circuits and wiring for the existing Franklin Subdrive can be used for the SJE- Rhombus.

3. Who is to provide the red strop light and where is it to be mounted?

a. Red light will be internal to the spec’d SJE Rhombus controller. The purpose of the red light is to indicate pressure loss in the system. If the contractor chooses to use a different (but equal) controller, a pressure loss light feature will need to be included.

4. Are unused circuits (Labeled Not Used) in panel P-1 available to be used for this project?

a. Yes, these unused circuits are available for use in this project.

5. What are the terminations needed for the iron and Sulfate removal items. Are they just a cord and plug or a hard wire connection?

a. The Iron, sulfate and water softener will need their own, dedicated plug.

6. We were reviewing the specs sheet for the White Sandy Campground water filtration bid and in section 2.7 D it mentions changing out arsenic media after a set number of gallons, but in the water report from Energy Labs there is no arsenic result and arsenic was not requested to be tested when the sample was taken. Could you clarify this for us?

a. Section 2.7 D should read:

i. “Precise monitoring of water usage allows you to change out arsenic media after a predetermined number of gallons has passed through the system.”
