The project encompasses multiple categories of work across 26 divisions. Key improvements include asbestos abatement and hazardous material removal; demolition of existing fixtures; bathroom remodeling with ADA compliance including fixture relocations and new porcelain and mosaic tile installations; flooring replacement with luxury vinyl tile in warehouse areas and porcelain tile in bathrooms; replacement of the rooftop heating and cooling unit (RTU) with a 3-ton dual-stage cooling unit and minimum 90,000 BTU natural gas heating input using R-454B refrigerant; replacement of an existing manual overhead warehouse door with an electric-operated door featuring safety sensing edges; metal roof repair and maintenance including sealant application and penetration service; electrical work including new receptacles, luminaire additions and replacements with LED fixtures, and overhead door electrical service; plumbing upgrades including new utility sink with eye wash station, fixture installations, and copper water supply piping; and photovoltaic inverter replacement. The work must be completed within 180 days of the Notice to Proceed, with work occurring Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and December 26-31. All work requires quality control oversight, and the facility will remain open to public and employees during construction. Specific product standards are detailed for fixtures, materials, and equipment, with numerous submittals requiring Government approval before procurement and installation.
