About this file
This document is a procurement specification for a complete Pepro 1-Bay Micro Shelter system to be delivered to Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. The procurement requires delivery of one integrated shelter setup consisting of a 1-bay micro shelter unit with DC power configuration, a 19-inch center post rack, battery tray, dual DC entry system, and passive ventilation. The shelter will be mounted on a towable base frame and supported by four Ufer grounded concrete pads and 32 steel ballast plates (six plates per outrigger).
The system includes a 20-foot two-piece mast with two antennas (ANT150F2 and ANT425F21), a complete solar power system with roof and wall-mounted solar brackets, two 140-watt 12V solar panels, a 12V 30-ampere charge controller (Morningstar PS-30M or equivalent), and two 12V 170 ampere-hour batteries (NorthStar Blue NSB 170FT or equivalent). Additional components include a rack-mounted bussbar, cable entry glands and covers, JVJ 4-inch 180-degree fitting, and double 18-inch stand-offs. The shelter is designated for installation at the Meadow Mountain repeater communication site (latitude 40°10'30.9"N, longitude 105°34'14.1"W). The delivery company is responsible for off-loading equipment at the Rocky Mountain National Park warehouse, while the National Park Service will provide helicopter support for crew transportation and equipment delivery to and from the remote installation site.
