STATEMENT OF WORK

Clarks River NWR VC/Office Rehab

Instructions: Complete all Bold Elements below and mark N/A for elements that are not applicable and delete sub elements. This will ensure that each element is considered.

1. General:

1.1 Wash, prime (1 coat), repaint (2 coats) and caulk the exterior of the VC/Office at Clarks River NWR. Replace, as needed, up to 10% of fiber board, trim or other exterior components deemed damaged or not functional . Additionally, remove and dispose of existing shingles of VC/Office.

Replace underlayment, shingles (3-dimensional color TBD), drip edge, vents and flashing. Inspect and replace any decking material in areas where damage is noted (account for up to 10% of decking replacement). Addition of ridge vent is also required to eliminate excess summer heat and to reduce warping tendencies for decking material. Roof sq/ft estimate 3,500 ft. Remove and dispose of wood siding on 4 dormers. Wrap with moisture barrier and apply concrete fiber board lap siding. 1.2 Deficiencies in the roofs were noted during a Compreshensive Condition Assessment.

The roof and associated elements have reached their life expectancy and are in need of repair to prevent additional damage to the supporting structures and structure contents. The structure’s exterior will require repainting to ensure maximum life expectancy.

2. Place of Performance and Period of Performance the project work is in Marshall County

KY.

2.1 Clarks River NWR, U.S. Hwy 641 N, Benton, KY 42025-9998

2.2 Start and completion date will occur within 6 months of contract issuance. No limitations other than seasonal weather.

2.3 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.

3. Scope

3.1 The contractor or their representative shall meet with the site rep upon request while work is ongoing to provide updates and ensure the product and performance are in accordance to expectations of the government. The contractor will provide the CO and the Site Rep. with progress updates weekly at minimum.
