About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a design-build renovation project for the Nampula Military Hospital in Mozambique, located at latitude 15°07'52.8"S and longitude 39°15'06.3"E. The project's scope includes comprehensive upgrades to consultation rooms and restrooms, with key work elements involving installation of split system air conditioning units, new sinks, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and a new generator infrastructure. The renovation will encompass demolishing existing electrical and mechanical systems, constructing new partition walls, installing a 110KVA backup generator with a concrete pad, and implementing a new electrical distribution system with main and sub-distribution panels.
The project requires a design-build approach with multiple design submission stages (35%, 65%, 95%, and 100%), each requiring progressively detailed documentation and government review. The estimated construction magnitude ranges between $500,000 and $1,000,000, with the contract to be awarded as a firm-fixed price using a best value trade-off method. The renovation will focus on improving the hospital's functionality, including natural ventilation, electrical upgrades, new lighting systems, plumbing improvements, and mechanical enhancements. The contractor must adhere to host nation building codes, international standards, and provide comprehensive testing, operational manuals, and training for the installed systems.
