About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers Clarification issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Procurement Office for Bid No. DOT-ITN-26-9001-SJ, titled "State Material Office – Temporary Employment Services". The bid is scheduled to open on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. The document specifically addresses and clarifies contradictory responses to two previous questions regarding paid time off and vacation policies for temporary employees.
The clarification mandates that the vendor must provide State of Florida holidays, vacation time (4 hours of leave for every 80 hours worked), and 5 floating holidays, which are to be factored into the markup calculation. While these time-off benefits are required, the specific timing of vacation and floating days is flexible, with staff members needing to request time off and obtain supervisor approval. Bidders/Proposers are required to acknowledge receipt of this clarification document by returning it to the Procurement Office by the bid opening date, with potential disqualification for failure to do so.
