About this file

This Request for Proposal Introduction is issued by Fulton County Schools (FCS), a Georgia-based school district serving 90,000 students across 110 buildings with approximately 14,000 employees. FCS seeks qualified contractor(s) to provide E-rate eligible wired and wireless access layer network solutions to support new school construction, renovations, expansions, migrations, and refresh cycles. The district requires comprehensive network design, engineering, configuration, installation, integration, support, and warranty services for all proposed products. Specific deliverables include network switching and routing equipment for school and administrative site main distribution frames (MDFs) and intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), high-capacity and scalable wireless network coverage, rack and stack services, mounting and cabling, seamless cutover during hardware refresh, and final installation documentation. The RFP does not specify response dates, due dates, site visits, bidders' meetings, or award dates in this introductory document.

FCS operates a current infrastructure of approximately 100,000 network-connected devices managed through Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPe) Aruba branded switching and wireless hardware, with firmware management by Netedit and cloud management via Aruba Central and ClearPass authentication platforms. All proposed network hardware must integrate with existing FCS-owned switch stacks and wireless management applications, maintain compatibility with current monitoring tools, and not be identified as end-of-sale or end-of-life by manufacturers. Offerors must maintain local Atlanta metro area manufacturer-certified sales and support staff and provide complete pricing for all bid schedule components. If a cost-effective offeror proposes equivalent compatible products, they must conduct an on-site demonstration within five business days to verify integration capability and compliance with district requirements. All products and services must meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) E-rate eligibility requirements, with the service provider agreeing to bill USAC directly via Form 474 Service Provider Invoice while FCS covers only its nondiscounted share of costs.
