About this file

This document contains bid terms for the City of St. George's 2026 Sewer Relining Project (Reference No. 26-267), a municipal infrastructure improvement initiative in Utah. The project requires bidders to furnish and install 6,000 lineal feet of sewer main liner and lateral liners ranging from 8 inches to 18 inches in diameter. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount, issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in Utah and submitted on a bond form acceptable to the City. Additionally, a 100% performance bond covering both labor and materials is required prior to contract award. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submissions or waive any formality or technicality at its discretion.

Bidders must certify that their bids have been prepared independently without consultation or agreement with competing bidders. All work is subject to City approval, with the City maintaining authority over quality, suitability, acceptability of materials, and fulfillment of contract obligations. Liquidated damages are assessed at $250 per calendar day for each day the contractor exceeds the specified contract time, and an additional $250 per day for failure to repair deficiencies within 10 days of notification. These penalty rates for deficiency repairs are cumulative with those assessed for overall contract time overruns. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, fees, and services necessary to complete the specified work in strict accordance with contract documents and drawings.
