About this file

This is an Award Memo issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services announcing the intended award of a contract to provide aerial herbicide application services for the West Desert Post-Fire Aerial Herbicide project (AM27-102). The conducting procurement unit is the Division of Wildlife Resources. The project involves aerial herbicide application on approximately 4,541 acres located across Juab, Tooele, and Utah Counties. The solicitation was issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) with evaluation based on objective criteria outlined in the RFQ, with the contract to be awarded to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest cost quote. The awarded vendor must not commence work, purchase materials, or enter into subcontracts until both the recipient and the Division of Purchasing and General Services execute the contract or issue a purchase order.

Vendors are notified that they will be contacted via phone or email regarding next steps in the contracting process. Any vendor protests regarding the award decision must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Officer within seven days of this notice and must clearly identify the solicitation and detail the nature of the protest. The receipt of the award notification does not constitute a contract; only execution of a purchase order or a signed contract between the awarded vendor and the Division of Purchasing and General Services creates a binding contract obligation. The solicitation did not accept multiple or alternate bids, with only each bidder's primary bid being considered for evaluation.
