About this file
This is an Award Memo issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services regarding the AM27-13-1 Cardiff Fork – Fuels Reduction Project: Phase 1. The Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands conducted the procurement process. The project involves cut and piling services across 9.6 acres located in Salt Lake County. No mandatory site visit was required for this Invitation for Bid (IFB). The anticipated contract performance period runs from September 15, 2026, through May 15, 2027, with the vendor required to guarantee pricing through project completion. The IFB is intended to result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor, with contract awards determined by the lowest cost per acre methodology.
Per the award memo, vendors have been notified that the intended awardee information is available in the accompanying award documentation and on the public site under Supporting Documentation. Awarded vendors are prohibited from beginning work, purchasing materials, or entering into subcontracts until both the recipient and the Division of Purchasing and General Services execute the contract or issue an executed purchase order. The award notification itself does not constitute a contract; only an executed PO or signed contract creates a binding agreement. Vendors are reminded that any protests of the award decision must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Officer within seven days of this notice issuance, with the protest clearly identifying the solicitation and detailing the nature of the objection.
