About this file
This document is an insurance requirements specification issued by the Cherokee County School System's Office of Risk Management and Benefits, located in Canton, Georgia. The document outlines comprehensive insurance requirements for facility use and maintenance service providers seeking to work with the school system. Providers must maintain multiple types of insurance coverage, including general liability insurance with $1 million aggregate and per-occurrence limits, business automobile liability insurance with $1 million combined single limit coverage, and workers' compensation insurance at Georgia statutory limits with a minimum of $500,000 in employer's liability coverage.
The insurance requirements mandate that service providers submit a Certificate of Insurance within 15 days of request and prior to performing services, with Cherokee County School System listed as the Certificate Holder. Additionally, providers must have their policy endorsed to list the school system as an Additional Insured, use insurance companies rated A- or better, and provide required notice of policy cancellation. The document notes that additional insurance limits may be determined by school system personnel based on a review of the specific application, and coverage is required regardless of the number of employees or vendor status as a sole proprietor.
