Regional Harmonization to PVE in Coastal West Africa: Q and A
Question 1. The NOFO indicates that U.S. applicants are restricted to 501(c)(3) organizations.
Are non-profit educational institutions therefore precluded from applying as many state universities have non-profit status conferred under a different chapter of the tax code?
Response: Per the NOFO, Eligibility Requirements, “U.S.-based non-profit/non-governmental organizations subject to section 501(c) (3) of the U.S. tax code; For-Profit Organizations;
Overseas non-governmental non-profit organizations; Foreign Public Entities and Public
International Organizations” are eligible to apply.
