Regional Harmonization to PVE in Coastal West Africa: Q and A

Question 1. Our organization is a for-profit organization, holding a SAM registration with a valid DUNS number. Our head office is based in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Is our organization eligible for this NOFO?

Response: Per the NOFO, Eligibility Requirements, “U.S.-based non-profit/non-governmental organizations subject to section 501(c) (3) of the U.S. tax code; For-Profit Organizations; Overseas non-governmental non-profit organizations; Foreign Public Entities and Public International Organizations” are eligible to apply.

Also per the NOFO, “Applicants, including U.S. affiliates of international organizations must provide a valid Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS), and completed www.sam.gov registration when submitting application on www.grants.gov in response to this NOFO. Applicants that do not have a valid DUNS number and completed www.sam.gov registration will NOT be eligible for consideration.”

Question 2. Objective 1: Identify six border communities (administrative or geographic areas) that are vulnerable to violent extremism and represent a strategic priority for the country/region: Do we have to select 6 border communities in each country or do the 6 communities have to be identified at the border of the 4 States targeted by the program?

Response: The 6 communities have to be identified at the border of the 4 States targeted by the program.

Question 3. Are there any programs currently funded by the USA in the Sahel zone that are related to the fight against terrorism and violent extremism and that the program under this NOFO should consider from a partnership perspective?

Response: Per the NOFO, “Coordination with ongoing P/CVE initiatives: Applicant should identify existing P/CVE initiatives in the region and address how they will coordinate with and build off of these efforts.”
