This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of two high-pressure, high-flow nitrogen rechargers for Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS).

The rechargers are mobile industrial units designed to convert cryogenic liquid nitrogen (LN2) to high-pressure gaseous nitrogen (GN2) for contingency supply during loss of flow from the primary GN2 production facility. The contractor must deliver the equipment by March 31, 2028. Key technical requirements include: direct-fire recharger design compliant with 49 CFR transportation standards and ASME B31.3 piping codes; capacity to deliver 12,000 scfm (720,000 scfh) flow at 10,000 psig minimum; discharge gas temperature between 40°F and 100°F; truck-mounted chassis with ground controls (preferred) not exceeding 60 feet long and 9 feet wide; an onboard LN2 dewar exceeding 2,000 gallons with <1% evaporation rate in 24 hours; and control systems with instrumentation for temperature, pressure, and cavitation prevention monitoring. Connection fittings must include a 3-inch hammer-compatible discharge connection with hose reel and 3-inch CGA V-6 LN2 fill connection. The rechargers shall be cleaned per CGA G-4.1 and coated per NASA-STD-5008B with specified three-coat systems for carbon steel and two-coat systems for aluminum and stainless steel surfaces. The Government retains the right to repair and modify all programmable logic controls and hardware without restriction. Deliverables include spare parts (two additional cold ends and two additional relief valves per relief valve), technical documentation, certifications, operations and maintenance manuals, and post-delivery training and testing at KSC, including a two-hour high-flow pipeline test at 6,000–6,500 psig with 9,500 scfm flow and a full pressurization test of a 10,000-psig compressed gas trailer.
