About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for NASA's Simulation and Advanced Software Services II (SASS II) RFP, containing six questions from potential offerors and NASA's responses. The Q&A addresses key aspects of the procurement including infrastructure requirements, software licensing, onsite expectations, and proposal submission requirements.

The document clarifies that NASA requires use of its own infrastructure rather than private cloud services, software licensing costs for NASA deliverables will be paid directly by NASA, and SASS II contractors will work closely with Johnson Space Center team members on a daily basis. The Q&A emphasizes that proposals must cover the entirety of the RFP requirements - partial proposals for only some of the 12 systems are not acceptable. Per section L.18, offerors may partner and submit proposals as joint ventures. Cost expectations and budget constraints are documented in RFP sections B.9, IDIQ minimum/maximum ordering limits, L.18.6(c) Pricing Methodology, and M.4 Cost Factor.
