About this file
This document contains a federal contract opportunity and related attachment. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Goddard Space Center plans to issue a request for proposal for a definition-phase study of an Ocean Color Observations instrument to fly on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's planned GeoXO series of geostationary satellites, with the first launch in 2032. The anticipated final RFP will be released in August 2021, with up to two fixed price contracts to be awarded, each approximately $5 million for a 20-month study period. The attachment describes how offerors may propose additional technology development or risk mitigation efforts for evaluation, defining the activities and any associated products or reports to be delivered under a fixed price. Proposed efforts would aim to advance technology readiness, demonstrate innovative methods, or address engineering challenges.
