Housekeeping Log Housekeeping Log Routine Tasks Frequency Clean and polish all drinking fountains.
1/day Dust mop all hard surface floors with treated or electrostatic dust mop.
1/day Empty all trash receptacles (inside and outside). Reline if necessary.
1/day Empty multi-compartment recycling stations (glass, plastic, newspaper, aluminum cans). Recyclable papers taken to designated recycling containers.
1/day or as needed Winter damp mopping to remove snow, slush, water, and salt on hard surface floors.
As needed Collect all empty boxes, flatten, and place in designated recycling containers.
As needed Clean areas immediately outside building entrances to remove dirt, debris, cobwebs, and other foreign matter.
1/week Clean both sides of all glass doors and side glass; remove any tape and residue.
1/week Damp mop all floors.
1/week Dust all exposed surfaces. All surfaces shall be dusted using a microfiber dusting cloth. These surfaces shall include all furniture including desks, file cabinets, shelving units, chair bases, tops of wall hung objects, window sills and frames, grills and grates, door frames, etc.
1/week Dust mop stairs, dust railings, ledges, and spot clean.
1/week Police stairs and pick up litter.
1/week Vacuum all carpeting and walk-off mats (wall to wall).
1/week Vacuum/clean recessed floor mat and damp wipe recessed area.
1/week Vacuum/damp mop elevators.
1/week Vacuum all carpeted 1st floor entry ways, walk-off mats, and hallways.
3/week Clean all carpeted 1st floor entry ways, and hallways.
3/year during winter months Clean all walk-off mats.
1/month April-October 2/month November-March Restrooms Frequency Clean/polish bathroom fixtures and mirrors.
1/day Clean/sanitize sinks, urinals, and toilets.
1/day Dust all exposed surfaces. All surfaces shall be dusted using a microfiber dusting cloth. These surfaces shall include all furniture, cabinets, shelving units, chairs, partitions, counters, wall hung objects, window sills and frames, grills and grates, door frames, etc.
1/day Dust mop and damp mop floors, including cover base.
1/day Empty trash containers and sanitary napkin containers.
1/day Restock/refill paper towel, toilet paper, soap, and sanitary napkin dispensers.
1/day Spot clean trash can, walls, and doors.
1/day Spot wipe partitions.
1/day Wash restroom perimeter and interior walls (partitions cleaned daily).
