Data Scientist III

Identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies found in big data sets by performing extensive data analysis to develop insights. Performs data mining, cleaning, and aggregation processes to prepare data, implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases. Interprets results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools.

A master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Requires 5 - 8 years of related experience.

Human Resources Manager

Develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Develops and delivers internal staff communications.

Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes.

Requires a bachelor's degree. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Minimum requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory

Project Manager

Provide and support overseeing the work performed by contract and subcontractor staff. Responsibilities include personnel management, coordination of task plan changes between primary and subcontractors, management of task schedules and deliverables, and reviews of monthly and quarterly reports. Attend technical team meetings to track project status and provide expert advice on improving operational efficiency and effectiveness as needed. Review financial reports to ensure tasks stay on budget. Applies best-practice strategic program governance and proactive tactical execution in support of simulations and/or demonstrations to prevent issues from arising whenever possible, especially where scheduling and performance are critical path dependencies.

A research scientist or engineer with a distinguished research reputation in their field. A Master's degree or higher in the appropriate scientific or engineering field plus at least six years of experience are requirements for this skill level. should have experience in mentoring and leading others in team environments.

Works independently most of the time and work requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Research Assistant

Responsible for providing usually short term research support in one of the technical disciplines in the

PWS in support of ongoing engineering projects. Works as a member of research, development, and/or analysis teams to perform a short term research project.

A student enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning and actively working toward a BS or higher degree, or have a BS in an appropriate scientific or engineering field and 0-1 year of related experience.

Research Associate

(i.e. University faculty, Institute and/or Other Federal Agencies) to provides designs, develops and delivers appropriate integration of instructional technologies, encompassing learning objectives, active learning strategies, assessment methods, use of technology in the classroom and other topics related to university teaching. Also facility interactions with relevant extramural organizations. Conducts statistical studies in support of research proposals and protocols. Maintains and develops research.

Doctoral degree in discipline appropriate to position and a minimum of 4+ years of experience.

Research Engineer I

Perform statistical and data analyses to characterize and quantify the benefits of ATM concepts and technologies. Quantify and interpret the various metrics to assess the benefits. writing python scripts to format the data and creating data visualizations, such as scatter plots, histograms, or confusion matrices, for easier comparisons between data elements. Create report and user guide are desired to document the research and development. Document describing the methodology used for vertiport placement, as well as an early phase system level analysis, a conceptual design and a basic prototype implementation.

Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Requires 0-3 years of related experience.

Research Engineer II technologies. Quantify and interpret the various metrics to assess the benefits. writing python scripts to format the data and creating data visualizations, such as scatter plots, histograms, or confusion matrices, for easier comparisons between data elements. Writes Python scripts to calculate and log the daily performance of each model. Develops software requirements and infrastructure for ATM simulations and flight tests. Provide the development of other automation capabilities to handle uncertainty, negotiation, and arbitration.

Requires a bachelor's or Master's degree of engineering, Data

Science, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science or related degree. Minimum 5+ years of related experience. Experience with

Research Engineer, Senior II

Develop use cases for ETM (Estimate Time Management) situations to help understand the problems and identify the necessary requirements that need expansion and how the requirements could be expanded. Develop a set of services for ETM cooperative operations where ETM operators exchange information for safe and efficient use of the airspace, before aircraft are airborne. Development of unit tests and system tests by the developers that get integrated into a nightly build process. Jenkins server setup to run nightly build and automatically report back problems to developers. Developers prepare all tests to be integrated into Jenkins server. Development of system tests for checking external services deployed.

Requires a bachelor's or Master's degree of engineering, Data

Science, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science or related degree. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Minimum 7+ years of related experience. Experience with Python, Matlab, Python data science packages, visualization tools, Java, C/C++, Linux.

Research Engineer, Senior III

Provide software development, validate & verify testing and data analysis support to expand capabilities for research and simulations. Includes analysis support for simulation on the conflict severity evaluation, flight performance models and separation service software and simulation tools. Perform the development of separation assurance requirements for separation standards towards airspace, including a set of use cases for separation standards. Perform research activities designed to determine requirements for the development of candidate set of Airspace Services.

Create an initial set of software requirements for an ETM service supplier interface to manage and monitor ETM services, such as operational intent conflict identification and notification process.

Requires a Masters-degree or higher of engineering, Data Science, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.

Minimum requires 10+ years of related experience. Experience with

Python, Matlab, Python data science packages, visualization tools, Java, C/C++, Linux. Experience with predictive analytics techniques, data mining, text analytics and predictive modeling. Expertise in software architecture, object-oriented designk unit testing required.

Research Fellow

Develop the initial deconfliction (i.e. University faculty, Institute and/or Other Federal Agencies) to provides designs, develops and delivers appropriate integration of instructional technologies, encompassing learning objectives, active learning strategies, assessment methods, use of technology in the classroom and other topics related to university teaching. Also facility interactions with relevant extramural organizations.

A Master's degree or higher in discipline appropriate to position and a minimum of 2+ years of experience.

Research Scientist

Senior Data Scientist II

Perform statistical and data analyses to characterize and quantify the benefits of Air Traffic

Management (ATM) concepts and technologies. Quantify and interpret the various metrics to assess the benefits. This is done by writing python scripts to format the data and creating data visualizations, such as scatter plots, histograms, or confusion matrices, for easier comparisons between data elements.

Creating a report and a user guide are desired to document the research and development.

A master's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Requires 5 - 8 years of related experience.

Senior Financial Analyst

Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of more complex financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. May conduct special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.

Requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Requires 5+ years of related experience.

Site Manager (ST)

Sets policies and makes decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of research and lab operations. Directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of one or more research lab facilities.

Leads the development and deployment of research (or lab) practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Establish systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity and set performance targets that will meet cost goals. In addition, ensures robust safety and security procedures and training are in place and that research operations are in compliance with all required regulations. Leads any labor relations activities involving the research facility. Directs level support functions including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure alignment with overall contract performance requirements.

Requires a Master's degree in engineering or related field. Typically reports to top management. Requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Software Engineer I

Develop principles to adapt to user requirements and improve the software based on user feedback.

Manages and tracks software development tasks through regular team tag-ups and with the JIRA tracking tool. New features and bug fixes are logged as JIRA issues for resolution by the software team.

The engineer audits the JIRA issues to ensure that proper levels of details are included for use in documentation such as software release notes and for the testers of the software. Perform testing, integration and deployment tasks for collaboration demonstrations. Summarize data collection from demonstration.
