About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for RFP-RC-2025-022 issued by the Rockland County Department of General Services, Purchasing Division, for Worker's Compensation and GML 207C Claims Administration services. The addendum provides responses to 17 detailed questions from potential bidders regarding claims data, medical bill review statistics, current claims management practices, and operational details. The document covers a proposed contract period spanning from 01/01/2019 through 07/01/2025, with specific focus on workers' compensation claims administration.

Key operational insights include the county having 162 open workers' compensation indemnity claims through 2024, utilizing nurse case management services, and having their Third Party Administrator (TPA) handle medical bill review, pharmacy benefit management, and nurse triage services. The county's insurance department is actively engaged with claims, communicating with claim adjusters approximately three times per week. The most critical priority for the workers' compensation program over the next three years is reducing fraud, as explicitly stated in the final response. Medical bill review data shows 2,171 bills reviewed in 2022, 2,248 in 2023, and 1,863 in 2024, indicating a relatively consistent volume of claims processing.
